📋 Cancellation & Deposit Policy
Deposit & Payment
If your total is under $500, full payment is required upfront. If $500 or more, a 50% deposit is required to reserve your slot. The remaining balance is due at the appointment.
Cancellations
Booked with less than 24 hours notice: payment is non-refundable. Reschedule may be offered.
Cancelled 12–24 hours before appointment: appointment credit only, no cash refund.
Cancelled 6–12 hours before appointment: at least 50% retained as cancellation fee.
Cancelled within 6 hours: 100% retained, no refund.
If the notary has already traveled or arrived: no refund under any circumstances.
No-Show & Signer Issues
No refund if: the signer refuses to sign, is not alert or willing, lacks valid ID, or required witnesses are missing and the client did not arrange them. Once the trip has begun, no refund is issued regardless of outcome.
📋 Important: Power of Attorney Originals
Many banks, hospitals, and care facilities keep an original Power of Attorney on file permanently. This means your family may need multiple original copies notarized — one for each institution.
Notarizing additional originals at the same appointment is significantly more cost-effective than scheduling separate visits. Please review the pricing below and adjust your quantity if needed.
Language notice: If the signer does not speak English, please arrange a bilingual person to be present, or notify us in advance. We can use a translation app as an accommodation.

📄 General Notarization

⚠️ Witness service — please read: Witness coordination is subject to availability. Same-day or immediate appointments may not be possible when witness coordination is required. Additional scheduling time may be needed. Witnesses cannot be guaranteed for bookings under 24 hours in advance.
If only 1 witness can be provided when 2 were requested, the second witness fee will be removed from your total.
